Polystyrene foam board is one of the common three kinds of inner wall heat preservation materials. Also known as foam board, EPS board, comprising a volatile liquid foaming agent can be made of polystyrene beads after heating pretest probability, in the mold heating and forming white objects. According to the structure characteristics of the tiny, mainly used for building wall, roof insulation, composite insulation board etc.. Divided into expansion EPS plate (benzene board) and continuous extrusion type XPS board (extruded board).

One, the advantages of polystyrene foam board:

1, the polystyrene foam board density coefficient is small, the impact resistance is good, there is enough capacity to buffer the impact force by changing the shape of the response;

2, with independent bubble structure, small area damage will not affect the whole wall;

3, the surface water absorption rate is low, the anti penetration performance is good, can effectively avoid the wall moisture, mildew, off and other wall problems;

4, not affected by temperature. High temperature, polystyrene foam board is not due to the high temperature and melt flow, low temperature, and the temperature is too low and brittle fracture phenomenon;

5, polystyrene foam can be recycled materials, and its recovery is the highest in plastic;

Do not use Freon 6, in the production process;

7. The energy consumption of the whole life cycle is the lowest in the plastic products.

Two, polystyrene foam board shortcomings:

1, the construction need to hang up, the construction process is complicated, the construction period is long;

2. Flammable and combustible gas. Ordinary polystyrene foam insulation board is easy to burn, the smoke produced by burning is toxic, even after the addition of flame retardant, burning can only reach B level;

3, the material strength is poor, prone to cracking phenomenon, the phenomenon of insulation layer is more common;

4, polystyrene foam insulation board because of its limited strength, load-bearing ability, tiles need to strengthen treatment;

5, styrofoam insulation board quality is not stable, because materials factory need to place for a period of time, after a period of maturity before they can be used, if not thoroughly cooked, the quality will not be guaranteed, resulting in foam shrinkage cracking.
